On Saturday, 29th July 2023, the picturesque Thomas More College campus in Kloof once again played host to the highly anticipated annual TMC Country Fair. This cherished event brought the community together for a day of camaraderie and fundraising. From the thrill of Tombola to the excitement of the games alley, the charm of a second-hand bookstall, and the enjoyment of a tea garden, there was something for everyone. 

Shelley Residential Interactive Art Exhibition: The Secret Garden Unveiled
For the second consecutive year, Shelley Residential hosted an interactive art exhibition, igniting the imaginations of both young and old. Under the guidance of the talented artist, Dawn Melanie, and the passionate Shelley Residential team, children were invited to participate in a communal painting project. Together, they brought to life a stunning masterpiece titled "The Secret Garden."

The artwork, measuring an impressive 122cm x 189cm, provided a vast realm for creativity to blossom. Children and adults alike joyously dipped their brushes, fingers, and hands into an assortment of vibrant colours, each stroke adding to the charm of the artwork. The theme of "The Secret Garden" aimed to transport onlookers to a realm of wonder and inspiration, where nature's splendour and the magic of imagination intertwined.

A Blind Auction for a Worthy Cause
Shelley Residential now calls upon the community to participate in a blind auction, setting the stage for a noble fundraising endeavour in support of the Kloof & Highway SPCA. To bid on this unique artwork, all one needs to do is email their full name, cell phone number, and the bid amount to kloof@shelley.co.za. The blind auction ensures that each bid is sealed, fostering an atmosphere of suspense and excitement as the deadline of midnight on Sunday, 6th August 2023 approaches.

The highest bidder will be the proud new owner of "The Secret Garden," taking home not just an exquisite piece of art but also the satisfaction of contributing to a meaningful cause. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Kloof & Highway SPCA's outreach clinic, supporting their relentless efforts in safeguarding and nurturing our furry friends.
